Overview
To oversee, manage and implement the national security strategy of the AGSA. Provide direction to executive management of the AGSA of all security related issues (physical and information), including vendor
management, emerging technologies, transgression reporting and performance management. To ensure that security coverage of the AGSA is kept at 99,9% uptime.

Roles & Responsibilities
Policy, procedures and process development and implementation
•Developing security related policies and procedures for all areas of security both physical and information (to be assisted by the Information Security Manager) for AGSA
•Ensuring roll out of all such policies and procedures to all AGSA regions including Head Office
•Responsible to ensure that all security related policies and procedures are kept up to date that reflect the current needs of the AGSA
•Responsible to ensure that all security related policies and procedures are aligned to NIA standards
•Management of Physical, Personnel and Information Security policies and implementation thereof.
•Execute, monitor and analyse procedures and systems and the implementation of preventative measures to minimize losses and increase profitability
Stakeholder Relations Management and Training
•Training of appointed security officers at regional offices (i.e. BUAMs)
•Responsible nationally for building relationships with key security vendors and suppliers to ensure they deliver excellent service to AGSA
•Advising business on strategic management from a physical security protection systems view.
•To drive initiatives that raise the awareness to staff on all AGSA BU of the dangers, impacts of unsafe work practices, conditions, fires, bombs, suspicious objects, injuries on duty etc.

Risk and compliance management
•Management and Scheduling of Security Risk Assessment nationally.
•Management of remedial actions, recommendations to findings and approval of counter measures.
•To continually assess the planning and development of new controls and systems within the security operation.
•Ensure that the travel arrangements for high risk personnel are managed properly
•Conducting risk assessments and mitigating the risk in conjunction with principle risk owners and providing recommendations on identified risks
•Selecting, implementing and maintaining Physical Protections Systems.
•Ensuring Physical Protection system implementation and integration AGSA
•Management of AGSA Alarm control centre
•Management of premises Blue Prints, Site protection Plans.
•To manage all security related investigations and assigned teams (internal or external)
•Ensuring the maintaining of high standards of efficiency and security in accordance with company procedures..
•Oversee security risk audits every six months for all AGSA sites.
•Address defective security equipment to minimise downtime.
•Ensure that security, safety, health, environmental and loss control standards are maintained to the highest level, so that all areas are safe and secure, especially for guests and staff, as well as the protection of company assets.
•Plan, implement and review systems to proactively deal with the changing security environment

Security management investigations
•Responsible nationally for all AGSA physical security measures and Investigations
•Plan investigations, which include doing preliminary investigations and composing action plans for investigations.
•Carry out investigations in accordance with internally determined quality requirements
•Interview members, suppliers and other parties and take depositions from these suspects or witnesses
•Pay attention to fraud indicators and make sure that evidence complies with legal and other requirements
•Responsible for investigation of any security violations
•To collate intelligence on any customer or staff member suspected of being involved in any criminal activity
Contract Management
•Management of contracts in relation to CCTV, Access Control, Fire (detection, prevention, suppression) and Intruder Detection systems for All AGSA premises.
•Management of external physical security service providers
•Working closely with AGSA Legal department in drafting appropriate legal contracts for security equipment/service vendors
•Reviewing and provide guidance/opinion on renewing of service provider contracts/SLA’s
•Management of new business developments, new product approvals and Project management.
•Management of Unarmed/Armed Guards.
•Management of operational uptime of all security related equipment of AGSA nationally –
Reporting
•Management Information systems and reporting thereof
•prepare monthly and quarterly reports on uptime and problems encountered with remedial actions taken.
•Providing management assurance reports on operational, financial, reputational, strategic and OHS risks.
•Oversee the process of issuing access cards and provide a report on access cards issued to comply with security requirements for AGSA
Financial Management
•Management of Operational and Capital budget related to physical security assets in compliance with AGSA’s budgetary requirements

People Management
•Plan, implement and review workflows and staffing levels for the centre to achieve departmental objectives
•Conduct performance reviews and manage the talent of the team
•Coach and mentor the team members .

Skills, Experience & Education
Qualifications
Fundamental Business Management or similar
Diploma in Criminal Justice and Forensic Investigation or similar
Certified Fraud Examiner (NQF 6_Advance Fraud Certificate) Physical Security Professional (PSP) or similar
Certified Protection Professional (CPP) or similar

Experience
At lease 10 years experience in all aspects of Security Management
At least 5 years management experience .
