General Manager - Specialist Services (Security industry)

Location: Roodepoort
Introduction
The main purpose of the position is to lead and support the technical business, banking control room and reaction divisitons of the company and enforce ethical business practices.

Minimum Requirements
Skills Required
· Minimum technical degree or equivalent.

· PSIRA Grade A qualification in security or equivalent.
· Minimum 5 years’ experience in a technical managerial position.
· Knowledge of control rooms and security reaction services essential.
· Must be computer literate in all Microsoft programs.
· Must have good interpersonal skills.
· Must be able to communicate effectively at all levels.

Job Specification
KPA’S (Not totally inclusive)
· Responsibility to lead and support the technical, banking control room and reaction divisions of the business and enforce ethical business practices.
· Planning and directing the activities of staff including their work performance and take responsibility of their professional development.
· Responsible for the strategic plan and budget of the department whilst ensuring that the company objectives are accomplished via teamwork.
· Overall responsibility for the equipment used in the department and ensuring that new technology developments are utilized at all times for the benefit of making the company the preferred supplier of the services.
· Lead in environmental, health and safety aspects plus quality initiatives and compliance in the department.
· Liaise with sales staff and customers to ensure that the service rendered is as per agreed specifications satisfying customer goals within the set budget parameters.
· Co-ordinate efforts by establishing procurement, technical services policies and practices plus co-ordinating activities in the department.
