Reporting to the Head of Security who in turn reports to the General Manager, Corporate Real Estate Services. This position is responsible for managing and coordinating security matters between security and the respective business disciplines throughout, by implementing the security strategy and work program, conducting security reviews, risk assessments/analysis on security matters and conducting security related investigations.

Role description
• Introduce/implement/manage/support Security Management strategies
• Act as a focal point for advice/support/guidance/training on security risk management matters across all Businesses.
• Assess risks/threats continuously and conduct security risk assessments and make recommendations aimed at protecting assets (people, property, information and reputation) against criminal, hostile or malicious acts.
• Facilitate/support/advise embedding security processes within the wider Business.
• Develop/deliver security awareness programmes.
• Identify/Develop/Train/Manage a capable cost effective security organisation
• Set goals, targets and objectives for the regular and proper measurement of security performance.
• Liaises with relevant parties both internally and externally, participates in information sharing and network building to exchange security related information and thereafter advises the Risk Manager and Executives on security matters and trends.
• Responsible for risk reduction, loss control, theft reduction, crime investigation and prevention. Provides travel security advice to staff travelling internationally, as well as maintaining staff security awareness programs.
• Sets and manages divisional budgets and responsible for recovery operating models.


Accountabilities
• Formulates security standards, procedures and policies
• Responsible for risk reduction, loss control, theft reduction, crime investigation and prevention
• Investigates new and improved security related systems, technologies and procurement of systems and equipment within cost effective budgets
• Responsible for risk identification, prediction, solutions and controls security surveys, vulnerability assessments
• Researches, develops and proposes suitable security policies and procedures to counter all security threats by using all available resources
• Perform high level investigations around security matters
• Develop/Improve/Deliver/Communicate personal/personnel security awareness training.
• Provide support/advice/training to deliver security management plans
• Maintain and enhance the security data base and system for reporting incidents and losses.
• Provide security assurance to Business Management by tracking incidents and providing risk mitigation measures and incident management procedures
• Manage/affect special assignments and projects as otherwise required by the Head of Security
• Champion the Group Security Policy/Physical Security Policy, supporting Standards and initiatives e.g. "Protective Security Survey” within the Business
• Conduct security surveys and other assessments of security effectiveness
• Provide advanced planning and protective measures for VIP visits as required.
• Collect and collate information, which in conjunction with Group Security provides the basis of the country risk assessment and alert state
• In conjunction with Communications and External Affairs issue security warnings/alerts to the Business
• Provides travel security advice to staff travelling internationally.
• Investigate and to report objectively on findings and results of investigations and make relevant recommendations to business management

Experience required
• Demonstrable personal commercial experience in the field of Security Risk Management and incident investigation.
• A good working experience and exposure to criminal and civil law.
• A minimum of at least 2 years’ experience in the commercial security field.
• Strong communication, interpersonal as well as professional skills to develop and maintain effective internal and external relationships.
• Demonstrable access to establish law enforcement networks and other related agencies.
