Tasks and Responsibilities: *Conduction threat and vulnerability assessments on all processes and initiate action plans to mitigate/reduce risks *Assess compliance to Diamond Control philosophies *Provide accurate reporting and reliable interpretation of observations *Provide escort for product *Perform incident investigations *Conduct Security awareness programmes *Ensure maximum availability of Security systems and surveillance equipment *Ensure personal and co-workers’ adherence and compliance to Security and * Company’s SHE objectives *Be willing to travel frequently and be away from home-base
Minimum Requirements: *Grade 12 *National Diploma in Security/Risk Management or equivalent recognized qualification *Current PSIRA Grade A security qualification *Valid Driver’s License (Code EB/08) *Computer literate (MS Office Suite) with the emphasis on Advanced Excel skills *3 years Security related experience in a diamond mining environment *Working experience of Security Management Systems *Advanced Firearms Proficiency – with certificate of competence or equivalent *Tactical Firearms Proficiency – with certificate of competence or equivalent Other Skills/Competencies: *Good verbal and written communication skills in English *Strong analytical skills *KNowledge of Metallurgical Plant processes an advantage *Knowledge of the Criminal Procedure Act no. 51 of 1977, the Diamond Act no. 56 of 1986 and other relevant legislation *Investigation, risk assessment and audit process experience.
