To manage the personnel security screening process in (DLS) and assist with all Security administrative functions in order to comply with relevant legislation. 
  
KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS 
Personnel Security: 
·    Conduct pre-employment security screening administration. 
·    Liaise with MIE Kroll regarding criminal record and qualification verification checks. 
·    Maintain Security files for each employee. 
·    Provide guidance to all employees with regard to completion of security clearance application (DD1057). 
·    Maintain security clearance database with regard to status of security clearances. 
·    Identify security clearances due to expire and arrange for completion of new forms prior to expiry date. 
·    Liaise with SSA and Defence intelligence regarding security clearance applications. 
·    Liaise with line managers regarding clearance levels. 
   Provide monthly statistics to management and Armscor on request. 
Security Administration: 
·    Assist with the maintenance of a comprehensive security filing system with regard to investigations, statistics, reporting etc. 
·    Issue access cards and administer zoning on instruction from manager. 
·    Provide information to Armscor relating to facility security clearance. 
·    Assist with preparation of information for security evaluations. 
·    Act as secretary for security related meetings. 
·    Assist with administration of security budget. 
·    Manage stationary and groceries for security department. 
·    Assist with establishment and maintenance of key control registers and administration. 
·    Assist with the establishment of a security awareness program. 
·    Budget maintenance with regard to load and follow-up of all security related requisitions. 
·    Assist with maintenance of Saco access control database. 
CRITICAL SKILLS 
·         Strong office administration skills. 
·         Effective interpersonal skills. 
·         Computer skills in MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint 
·         Organisational skills. 
·         Effective communication skills (writing and verbal). 
JOB REQUIREMENTS 
·         Matric, Degree/Diploma in Security Management/SAPS/SANDF. 
·         Security related courses and experience (five years). 
·         SAPS/Military experience will be an added advantage. 
·         Electronic systems administration. 
·         Time and Attendance System knowledge. 
·         Personality with high compliance factor. 
·         Ability to work under pressure.
