A Security Manager is required to manage and oversee the security operations for all properties within the Company as well as various.
Key performance Areas
- Security strategy , Policy and Systems
- Oversees security operations for the Company as well as intercompany departments
- Responsible for planning, developing and implementing security policies, procedures, processes, systems and plans for the Company precinct
- Plans and directs installations of electronic security systems such as CCTV surveillance, access and egress controls, burglar alarms, smoke detectors and outdoor perimeter alarms
Relationship Management and Awareness
Maintains knowledge of security industry trends ,current security technology and update management on risk and threats that could impact on company business
Develop and implement regular security briefing sessions to Company employees and tenants to educate and increase awareness of everyday personal and commercial security issues
Establishes /maintains robust tenant relationships to ensure complete understanding of tenant processes to enable the delivery of viable security responses
Risk Management
Undertake annual risk management, assessments, develop risk mitigating strategies for Company and assist tenants in developing their risk mitigating strategies
Receive and resolve all tenant security queries effectively to ensure that Company interest are protected, tenants' rights are respected and relationships are maintained
Undertake annual evaluations of existing Company properties and land to ensure that property security standards are maintained within Company standards and other relevant regulations
Liaise with law enforcement agencies and government security agencies i.e. SSA, Presidents office, Premiers office etc. to assist in investigations of accidents, criminal incidents and functions hosted by the Company
Advice the Company Finance and tenants of appropriate risk assurance cover required to effectively mitigate potential property loss
Manage, coordinate and conduct personal and alcohol breathalyser tests where required
Conduct ad hoc security -related investigations
Contract Management
Manage security contracts of Company facilities ensuring that effective security is provided to Company and tenants
Manage outsourced security contracts ensuring that security services are provided to Company and tenants according to the SLA and best practice industry norms
Knowledge, Skills and Competencies Required
Matric + 3 year Degree in General Maintenance or equivalent level of qualification in a Law Enforcement /Security Management environment - Essential
Appropriate training in senior security management role
At least 10 years' experience in the property and security management industries dealing with large -scale, multi -purpose developments
Ability to conduct Security related Risk Assessments within different types of industries
Contract Management and the management of SLA's
Financial Management and Budgetary Management
Ability to manage a large team of employees and contractors effectively
Established contracts and networks within the security industry and /or law enforcement will be an advantage
Proficiency in MS Office
Knowledge and understanding of OHSA and the impact on property
Demonstrate professional excellence
Problem solving skills
Ability to work under pressure and independently with minimal supervision
Relationship Management Skills
Code EB Driver's licence
Able to work under pressure and prioritise
Willing to travel between different sites and workplaces
Wage/Salary: Depending on Experience
