Assistant Security Manager

The Department
The Conghua Thoroughbred Training Centre (“CTC”) is a major strategic project of The Hong Kong Jockey Club (HKJC) as a cross-border home of HKJC’s stabling, training and racing facilities to support Hong Kong racing operations.
The Job
You will:
assist in managing the day-to-day security operations planning and logistics in support for the purpose of protecting
HKJC’s assets (brand, image, physical properties and information)
assist in management of all security systems and equipment to ensure they are regularly maintained and kept fully functioning at all times
maintain an active liaison with government departments including but not limited to Police, Fire Services, Customs, Inspection and Quarantine (CIQ) to ensure efficient implementation of operational security of CTC
liaise with internal departments including but not limited to Security and Integrity, Finance and Project Management Office of CTC, ensuring smooth day-to-day operations and implementation of security related projects
conduct regular security checks and inspections to ensure all security procedures are carried out and reviewed in order to protect staff, property and assets
assist in the preparation of budget provision, recommend and monitor expenditures for CTC in-house security staff, contract security and security systems maintenance contractors
review fixed asset reports and advise the Area Security Manager (CTC) on the necessary transfer, disposal or write-off of any items to ensure proper control is exercised

About You
You should have:
completed the secondary education with a minimum of 10 years of practical experience in a discipline service, commercial or equivalent security environment with at least 5 years in a supervisory position. Tertiary education is a plus
preferably PRC work experience in a supervisory position and previous police/security experience in Hong Kong
strong leadership, good inter-personal and management skills
ability to work under pressure with tight timelines
proficiency in both written and spoken English, Written Chinese and spoken Cantonese & Putonghua
