Job Description
Ensure our resort is safe for all guests, staff members and visitors. Protect the hotel assets and guest property from theft and damage using an intelligence led approach to security. Provide leadership for security guards and maintain a disciplined regime to ensure minimum standards are maintained.
Build and maintain relationships across the business with a partnership approach. Be a business “enabler”, find
solutions to problems to allow other departments maximize the commerciality of the resort without compromising on safety.
Take responsibility for casual staff, ensure brand standards are met and proactively identify and correct when they are not. Be a single point of contact when on duty for enquiries from other departments, always be available, and be timely in responding to requests.
Identify weaknesses in yourself and proactively address them. Constantly test and interrogate our departmental procedures to ensure they are fit for purpose. Take ownership of projects and develop your skill set.
Know and understand the procedures and policies the Security department has in place. Educate other departments on how security is everyone’s responsibility and how you, as a security function, can assist each department.
Be professional at all times when dealing with our customers (guests, staff and visitors). Maintain the very highest ethical standards at all times and adhere to the hotel SOPs at all times, never cutting corners. Deliver the highest level of service to guests.
Requirements
Education
:
High school diploma required, Security background through either hotels or police/military
Experience : 1 years of experience within hotel security
Technical/ functional competencies : To fill this position the candidate must have a security or safety background. Good communication skills are essential as the role holder will often be the most senior security person on duty and must be able to communicate with ExCom level management. Knowledge of CCTV, fire systems and access control a definite benefit
