Regional Armed Response Manager

As the Regional Armed Response Manager you are responsible for the complete operational functioning of the Armed Response department in an efficient and professional way.

· Attend management meetings and reviews as required
· Conduct operational meetings on a daily basis
· Compile, change and manage all areas on a monthly basis
· Compile reports on a weekly and monthly basis
· Keep standard operating procedures up to date and ensure that these policies are adhered to on a daily basis
· Control budget on a daily basis
· Approve and control all purchases on a daily basis
· Approve all new employment as required
· Keep track of all disciplinary hearings on a weekly basis
· Conduct all disciplinary hearings as required
· Assess training needs on a continuous basis
· Ensure the full deployment of personnel and vehicles
· Continuously analyse and review the setup of clusters
· Ensure compliance to SOP’s on a daily basis
· Ensure regular meetings with minutes
· Ensure budget control
· Ensure compliance with training program & firearm licenses
· Ensure that recruitment, awards, promotions & timesheets are submitted according to standard
· Ensure that statistics are up to date and available to required parties
· Nominate employees to undergo training as required
· Conduct performance appraisals
· Check and control PSIRA registrations on a monthly basis
· Manage and control firearm licenses on a monthly basis
· Grant increases according to performance on a yearly basis
· Grant bonuses according to performance on a monthly basis

Safety Standards:
· Schedule for leave (Annual/sick/compassionate/study)
· Time sheets and booking overtime as required
· Interviewing potential candidates for employment
· Monitoring/Coaching/Assisting/Developing of staff to continually better themselves
· Take direct responsibility for the department
· Ensure that feedback is given to all staff timeously
· Execution of all corrective actions to prevent the re occurrence of incidents
· Ensure compliance with disciplinary code
· Ensure mentoring/coaching of staff for succession planning
· Ensuring the safety and welfare of all staff
· Ensuring that all staff are trained to required standards
· Ensure work is done in accordance with company rules and procedures
· Ensure that all instructions are carried out
· Ensure full staff compliment
· Conduct reviews on all shooting incidents, injuries and motor vehicle accidents..
· Ensure that Supervisor/s enforce strict discipline

Client Liaison:
· Receive and investigate client complaints
· Ensure non-occurrence of same problems
· Give full feedback to clients where necessary
· Ensure complete investigations
· Ensure feedback to clients

Administration:
· Daily, weekly, monthly reports
· Time sheets
· Ensure all admin is up to date and according to standard

Staff Turnover:
· Manage staff turnover
· Staff morale
· Discipline
· Ensure turnover reasons are known and addressed
· Ensure disciplinary code is adhered to


General:
· Have expert knowledge about all facets pertaining to your position
· Keep your workstation/office neat and tidy at all times
· Not abuse company telephone for private calls
· Attend all required meetings and training sessions
· Ensure that all staff are adequately trained for your area
· Ensure that all KPIs are maintained

· National Senior Certificate - Grade 12
· Security Management/General Management qualification (or studying towards) or equivalent is advantageous
· PSIRA Registered Grade B
· Valid Driver’s license
· Management experience (Minimum 5 years)
· Computer Literacy essential (MS Office, advanced Excel, PowerPoint)
· Listener experience advantageous
· Excellent communication skills
