Browns The Diamond Store is looking to employ an experienced Security Manager to join the family!

We seek to appoint a Security Manager to maintain and monitor security systems at all our business units for the protection of staff, customers and assets. The position represents significant opportunity to add value to the business in safeguarding the substantial commitment of company assets (personal, physical and information) throughout the area where security is of critical importance by developing a risk based strategy integrated with the business which designed to protect people, products and premises.


Suitable applicants must meet the following criteria:
Strategic planning and goal setting initiatives in security matters in the group – in line with the company’s priorities and policies.
Managing and approving the installation of security equipment for all the business units.
Managing the implementation of security policies and procedures at all the business units.
Managing and overseeing the vehicle tracking aspect of the business.
Knowledge of various investigation techniques with good knowledge of the Criminal Procedure Act and South African Labor Law.
Must have demonstrated ability to investigate problems, identify root cause and propose range of alternative solutions with associated risk mitigation reviews and plans, to support decision making.
Prioritise activities, resources, budgets to deliver on business critical outcomes.
Excellent organization agility to navigate through different functions, and comfortably interact and influence leadership teams at all levels.
Proven ability to build sustainable relationships and constructively resolve conflict.
Demonstrate leadership in building effective teams, with diverse team members from different cultures, countries and remote team members.
Demonstrate the agility to manage through ambiguity.
Ability to operate autonomously in a remote and complex environment.
Ability to collaborate with stakeholders both within the organisation and external to create common solutions with efficient use of resource.

Own Transport essential and Valid Driver’s License.
Clear criminal record and be PSIRA registered.
Extensive experience in CCTV and alarms.
PC Literate - Word, Excel, Power point, Outlook.
Well presented.
Ability to handle high level of pressure.
Articulate and able to communicate on all levels - Face to face, Telephonic and e-mail.
Strong Client liaison and relationship building skills.
Flexible working hours - After hours call out etc.

Successful incumbent would have completed a university degree or equivalent education. Coupled with unquestionable integrity and ability to generate trust with all stake holders, the Security Manager will have a sound understanding of risk base security. Minimum of seven years’ experience in Security Management is essential. Suitable incumbents should have a proven and verifiable track record in the private sector, preferably in a large multinational organization.


Basic Salary : R 30 000

Incumbant is eligeble to join the Medical Aid and Pension Fund after a complteted year of employment with the company.
