A Large Airline Catering Company situated in Johannesburg seeks a Loss Control Manager with the following qualifications: Track record of successful experience in conducting legal or ethical investigations. At least 5 years Management work experience in Loss Control. Matric with a relevant Diploma or equivalent related professional qualification.
Duties will include: The main task of a Loss Control Manager (LCM) is to protect the Companies assets, improve the profitability by developing and implementing security policies and procedures applicable to the
business unit.
Area of Responsibility:
Responsible for minimizing the financial losses of the business unit operations related to theft, vandalism and fraud. Develop ways to detect security violations, and to put programs in place to prevent repeat occurrences. Communicate and interact at the most senior levels of management and work cooperatively with management and law enforcement. Work with discretion and professionalism, and maintain confidentiality at all times. Deal with all financial elements pertaining to the security department. Control external security contractor’s and to implement a Performance Level agreement. Develop and to submit Loss Control recommendations to assist in correcting of deficiencies. Management of reports. Control of financial expenses
Internal Focus: Internal focus includes handling theft issues, inventory control, facilities and equipment damage, security access violations, fraud, and a variety of audits of employee activities. CCTV department and equipment. Implementing and Maintaining the ACI Security Program standards. External Focus: Physical security, vandalism, access and egress controls are the primary areas of external areas of external focus.
The candidate must have the following skills: Good Computer Skills, SAP work experience will be an advantage. Proven Track Record in Loss Control. Must be intuitive nature. Excellent Verbal and Communication skills. Excellent Analytical and Organizational skills. Registered with the PSIRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority).
