Experienced Security Supervisor

IBV International Vaults is looking to recruit an experienced Security Supervisor for our Sandton facility. The right candidate will have previous supervisory/managerial experience and come from either a military or police background.

The position will be contract based of which you will invoice the company on a monthly basis during the 3 month probation period. Upon successful completion of the probation period, you will be offered the opportunity to join the team on a permanent basis.
The Security Supervisor will be required to work 6 days per week with a day off on rotation. KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Upholding the integrity through varies security systems and SSOP’s.
2. Ensure that contractual requirements are met by all suppliers.
3. Maintaining good relations between Service providers and the Company with regard to services rendered.
4. Supervising the supplier Security team to ensure that duties are diligently carried out and to the highest standard and in accordance with SSOP’s.
5. Coaching & development of the supplier security team.
6. Conducting basic security awareness training with staff members.
7. Conducting 6 monthly appraisals with the security team members.
8. Performing risk surveys and submitting recommendations to the Security Manager regarding potential risks and remedial actions.
9. Conduct ongoing penetration tests and submitting the relevant reports to the Security Manager.
10. Conduct ongoing emergency tests and submitting the relevant reports to the Security Manager.
11. Dealing with all required administration matters.
12. Liaising daily with the Security Manager on various operational issues/concerns.
13. Submitting weekly / monthly reports as required by the Security Manager.
14. Maintaining SSOP’s jointly with the Security Manager.
15. Investigations.

ESSENTIAL REQUIREMENTS

1. Minimum 3yrs previous experience in security supervisory/management position.
2. Ex-Military or Police.
3. Computer literate, Word, XL and Outlook.
4. Clear ITC score.
5. PSIRA registered.
6. No previous criminal record.

PREFERRED

1. Own firearm.
2. Previously worked in a corporate and operational environment.
