Job description
Functional Outputs
•Responsible for maintaining effective security structures and measures
•Manage and regulate site security contractors and their staff activities to ensure site security
•Oversee and control access to site according to site regulations or standard practices
•Oversee and control camera monitoring contractors and staff
•Oversee and control the weighbridge function including but not limited to allowing only authorized vehicles into site and control all vehicles and material leaving site
•Develop and manage the security budget and infrastructure
•Conduct and close out investigations relating to any security related or safety matter including liaising with Asset Protection and emergency services
•Develop and maintain relationships with Asset Protection and emergency services
•PC Skills competency must include the use of MS Office programs and SAP
•Be calm and logical in stressful situations
•Understand the OHS Act in relation to job function
Experience/Qualification
years industrial security experience with 3 years managerial experience
Must have weighbridge management experience
Experience within the police force or army will be advantageous
Experience with safety management within an industrial environment will be advantageous
year tertiary qualification or Diploma in Security / Policing / Risk Management specialising in Security or Security Management
Registration with PSiRA (Private Security Industry Regulatory Authority)
SAMTRAC and/or Risk Management training.
