Specific Role Responsibilities
• Identify current and potential risk affecting the primary and secondary business
• Manage, improve and implement security strategies on a continuous basis
• Timeous and accurate reporting on risk and security matters
• Assist and complete all internal and external investigations and reports
• Conduct monthly and quarter risk and security audits
• Undertake security related training for driver and driver assistants
• Develop a good understanding of the latest technological and advancements in the industry
• Manage change in organization, direction and advise on security matters
• Build the necessary relationship with authorities, client representatives, DC Management and contracted service providers
• Daily and monthly reports to Senior Management
• Assist with formulating charges for disciplinary hearings in conjunction with IR
• Presenter /chairperson in disciplinary hearings and enquiries when required
• Co-ordinate standby duties over weekends and public holidays
• Sound knowledge of SHERQ and relevant transport legislation
Qualifications and Experience • A minimum of 5 years experience in a similar position
• Logistics and Distribution experience will be an advantage
• Knowledge and working experience in the local authorities i.e. SAPS, Metro Police etc.
• Sound financial profit and loss management reporting skill
• Industry and business insight
